SSJ Receives Special Honor for Women’s History Month

Sister Chris Wagner was one of seven women recently recognized for their exceptional service and dedication to the Rochester community. On Tuesday, March 31, Congressman Joe Morelle honored Sister Chris and the other women during his inaugural Women’s History Month Recognition Ceremony which celebrates “outstanding women from across the Rochester community whose leadership, service, and commitment have made a lasting impact on the lives of others.”

Sister Chris received an official statement from Congressman Morelle highlighting her contributions as a founding member and former Executive Director of St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center, a SSJ ministry that offers health services and more to people who are uninsured or underinsured. Her achievements were also formally entered into the Congressional Record, highlighting the significance of her longstanding service.
