Sister Loretta Poole worked mainly with elderly people and in geriatric health care. Her ministries included Corpus Christi, Holy Trinity, St. Elizabeth in Selma, AL; St. Ann’s Home, St. Mary, St. Joseph Hospital in Elmira, Park Ridge Hospital, St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center, and the former SSJ Sisters Care.

During her 70th Jubilee celebration in 2025, Sister Loretta reflected on her life as a Sister of Saint Joseph. “Living in community, I thrive on the atmosphere of spiritual encouragement, which instills an interior freedom, peace and gratitude. These experiences lead me into a ‘Future Full of Hope.’”
