In April, Holly Rockwell, Director of the SSJ Justice and Care for Creation Office, joined fellow Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) leaders from across the country for a gathering focused on prayer, learning, reflection, and strategic planning for the future. Hosted in Philadelphia by the U.S. Federation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph, the event brought together a diverse group of committed advocates dedicated to advancing justice and care for creation.

The gathering featured five expert speakers who addressed a wide range of migration-related advocacy efforts, spanning local municipal policy initiatives to national legal strategies. In addition to these presentations, participants engaged in meaningful dialogue with high school and college students, exploring fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to shaping the future of JPIC work.

“It was truly energizing to be in community with others engaged in SSJ JPIC ministry,” said Holly. “These women and men are deeply inspiring, and the gathering sparked a genuine desire to strengthen collaboration among us. We look forward to continuing these conversations and discerning together what that collaboration might look over the summer.”
