Sister Beth LeValley was recently recognized for her continued work in promoting justice, equity, and interfaith collaboration. On November 13, Sister Beth was named one of three recipients of the Excellence in Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations Award by the New York State Council of Churches. The award was presented during the organization’s 10th Annual Awards & Fundraising Gala in Albany, recognizing leaders who embody a deep and practical commitment to unity and social compassion.

Sister Beth has served continuously with the Greater Rochester Community of Churches – Faith In Action Network (GRCC), including roles as board member, justice vice president, and president. Her work spans organizing food access initiatives, co-founding Rochester’s first faith-based credit union, and leading GRCC’s Burial Initiative honoring those who have died without family and resources. Today, she continues to champion inclusion and advocate for immigration and housing justice.
