Saint Joseph’s Neighborhood Center offers more than its name would imply. At SJNC, medical, dental, and mental health care is provided for uninsured and underinsured persons. Truly a place for anyone struggling to access health care. The Center offers a comprehensive, patient-centered approach for our patients and clients.

  • Opportunities

    Volunteers with Professional Specialty

    *Currently the most pressing need is for Spanish speaking counselors, medical assistants, LPS and RN's. If you are interested or know someone who might be interested in these volunteer opportunities, please contact the Center.*
     
    Time: Monday & Friday: 9 AM-5 PM; Tuesday-Thursday: 9 AM-7 PM (Volunteers are not required to work all of these times; these are the Center's hours of operation.)
    Description: There is a need at the Center for highly skilled professional volunteers. Examples of these professions include but are not limited to the following:
    • Chiropractor                      • Podiatrist
    • Counselor                          • Pharmacist
    • Nutritionist                        • Physician's Assistant
    • Speech Pathologist            • Physical Therapist
    • Podiatrist                           • Licensed Nurse Practitioner
    • Massage Therapist            • Psychiatrist
    • Medical Doctor                 • Psychologist
    • Registered Nurse               • Occupational Therapist
    • Optometrist                       

    Translators

    Time: Flexible. It depends on current need. We will work with your schedule the best we can.
    Description: St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center is in need of volunteers who can donate their language skills! The translation will be for medical and/or counseling appointments. Any language will be welcome, but we are most in need of Chinese, Russian, Arabic, French, and Turkish

    General Volunteers

    Time: Flexible. It depends on current need. We will work with your schedule the best we can.
    Description: The Center also needs volunteers who can help with a variety of tasks and projects. These can range from basic data entry to painting, cleaning, event support and much more. Please contact us for more information on how you can help!
