September 17, 2010--This retreat is an opportunity for single Catholic women 18-35 to Come and See what apostolic religious life as a Sister of St. Joseph is all about. The retreat is September 17-18, 2010 at the Sisters of Saint Joseph on 314 Gregory Street, Rochester, NY 14620. The event is free. REGISTRATION: Deadline: September 10, 2010. Immigration Seminar

September 17-18, 2010--The SSJ Justice and Peace Committee is sponsoring a public seminar to spark discussion on the issue of immigration September 17 & 18 at St. Bernard's Institute located on French Road in Rochester from 9am-6pm each day. Prayer for Our Times

The first Tuesday of each month -- The Sisters of Saint Joseph, invite you, your family, and friends to join us in our monthly prayer for peace, “Prayer for Our Times.” The prayer service is held in the Sisters of Saint Joseph motherhouse chapel, at 150 French Road, Rochester, NY from 7pm to 8pm. Prayer Shawl Ministry

The first Monday of each month -- Our Motherhouse is home to the Shawl Ministry. A group of Sisters and volunteers knit or crochet shawls for various needy groups, hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, and private homes. The group meets the first Monday of every month from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Motherhouse on 150 French Road, Rochester, NY. Invitation to Sitting Meditation

On Wednesdays from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. The Sisters of Saint Joseph Motherhouse chapel is open for people of differing traditions to come for meditation. This will be an hour of silence for any who desire to spend time in this way. This could be a wonderful opportunity for many to come together to pray and bring peace into our lives and our world. Tea and Books

Second Friday of every month-- We invite you to join us for books, treats and good company at our monthly Tea and Book event from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m at the Motherhouse on 150 French Road, Rochester, NY.
