Living In Community

Living in community is something we do for the sake of our mission. It refreshes and renews us; it challenges and inspires us to be our best selves both at home and in ministry. It is a choice to be part of something stronger than we could ever be alone.

It doesn’t just mean living in shared housing. We are in community with all 330 Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester. We are a network of relationships bound to each other through prayer, respect, accountability, friendship, and support. This network often extends well beyond us to our work places and our social connections. Wherever one is, we all are.

For us, coming home means living our hopes, visions, laughter, and struggles together. True community creates the space and freedom for individuality. If this is where you belong, you will find you are more comfortable in your own skin, more the person you are really meant to be. You will not cease being you, quite the opposite, you will blossom into your authentic self.
